‘TPG Centre of Excellence’ Grand Opening
October 22nd, 2009
TPG Disableaids Ltd. are proud to announce the acquisition of addition property in Plough Lane, Hereford which now serves as the TPG Centre of Excellence.
The new venue was opened on September 16th 2009 by Sascha Kindred, the local Paralympian gold medal winner and OBE, and his partner Nyree Lewis, Paralympian gold medal winner and MBE.
The ‘Grand Opening’ was marked by a special open day event in which manufacturers and suppliers to TPG Disableaids exhibited their products. Demonstrations of all the products from hoists to stairlifts and from bathlifts to scooters were running throughout the day. Additional training courses were run on the day for healthcare professionals to see the style of training available in the future. Also available on the day was the opportunity to win a new Stannah 420 Stairlift and a Minivator Bath Lift.
The training and conference room facilities are now available to hire on an hourly or daily basis offering full video and audio resources along with IT support. A 40 capacity classroom and 50 capacity practical room with on site catering or self serve tea and coffee facilities is available if required. The Practical room can be equipped with relevant equipment such as mobile hoists, ceiling track hoists, beds, chairs, wheelchairs etc. to ensure the latest training techniques in manual handling can be applied. Alternatively the space lends itself to a wide range of activites that may not be related to the elderly or diablity market. Extensive car parking and a central location with Travelodge accomodation within easy walking distance make this ideal for both local of national organisations.
